If I am being honest, I was little nervous and overly exhausted when D day arrived.
If you’re a small business owner, or even just a woman who has organised a wedding, birthday party or event of any kind, whilst juggling all the things, you’ll understand why.
But WOW, did it feel good on the day.
It was my absolute pleasure to host 50 women and empower them to be the best version of themselves. With a little help from my ‘friend’, best-selling Author, presenter and all-round legend, Casey Beros; our guests were treated to a mini life edit, inspiring them to declutter their lives, recognising the things that no longer serve them and allowing them to make room for things that do.

After many LOL’s, I took to the stage to demonstrate my daily routine. As a busy woman, wife, mum, and dual business owner; I don’t have a lot of time. I want/need to exit the house as quickly as possible most days and whilst I don’t need to have a face full of make up every day, I also don’t want to look like I’ve just rolled out of bed! And so, I shared my little secrets.
5 simple steps to a fuss free daily make up look.
Step 1. Apply Skin Joy super hydrating serum. This will instantly nourish the skin. And when your skin is well prepped – your make-up will sit better.
Step 2. Apply Skin Joy perfecting skin trio. This 3 in 1 super cream, acts as a primer and the tinted moisturiser will even out your complexion. It's lightweight and gives me an even complexion without the need for foundation. Perfect for trips to the shops, school pick ups, coffee catch ups or even the gym.
Step 3. If you’re over the age of 40, move away from powered blush. A crème based blush will give you a natural glow without highlighting or settling into fine lines and creases. I use the Harlotte Cosmetics creme blush in peach blossom.
Step 4. To enhance your features, add a highlighter to the cheek bones. Keep it light and away from any fine lines. I use Harlotte Comsmetics ego cheek highlighter.
Finally, apply your mascara, add a tinted lip balm and voila, you are good to go.
Following the skincare and make up demonstration, we shared stories, talked and laughed the afternoon away.
All guests were treated to a copy of Casey’s book ‘A bad girls guide to better’, a Skin Joy face mask and more.
I’d like to say thank you to every single woman that attended. I hope you all had a fabulous time.
